First Mate Andrew
Hello everyone. My name is Andrew. I am one of the few people that are flo-grown, meaning I was born and raised in Florida. I started fishing at a very young age with my godfather after schools on his boat out of Hernando County. When I wasn’t able to go to his house to fish with him I was usually at the local lakes in my neighborhood trying to catch that big one. I’ve always had a passion for fishing from a very young age. The first boat I ever had was a little 14 foot Zodiac with a Yamaha 40 on the back of it. You could usually find me fishing the shallow water of the flats or the deep water by the Skyway Bridge. I’ve been with Tampa Fishing Charters now for over five years. In the five years that I’ve been with Tampa Fishing Charters, I’ve gone from being a mate doing maintenance on the boats to now having the position of the Chancellor. I handle all the scheduling for the company as well as any customer service issues that may come up. I am in the process of obtaining my captain’s license to make the next step in my career. I really enjoy having the ability to share my passion of fishing with other people on any given day. It’s hard to put into words watching someone reel in the fish of a lifetime. Look forward to seeing everyone out there on the water. Last thing I will say is don’t bring bananas on a boat with you.
