Spanish Mackerel Fishing Charters
Every Spring and Fall huge schools of the migratory Spanish Mackerel can be found invading our waters around Tampa Bay. These fish are fast, aggressive, and will bite in numbers which makes for some really exciting fishing. Sometimes they are biting fast that the whole boat will be be hooked up on a fish. These fish are considered an easy catch and fishermen of all experience levels can feel like a seasoned pro hooking Mackerel after Mackerel when we track a school. Spanish Mackerel like to school around channel makers, artificial reefs, piers, bridges, or any other structure that attracts the bait fish these guys feast on. Spanish Mackerel are typically between 14 and 24 inches, but can grow as large as 30 inches.
